WIT’S END

OBJECTIVE OF WIT’S END: The objective of Wit’s End is to be the first player to reach the middle of the game board and answer the question correctly.  

NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 2 to 6 Players 

MATERIALS: 1 Game Board, 200 Questionnaire Cards, 1 Die, 6 Playing Pieces, and Instructions  

TYPE OF GAME: Trivia Board Game 

AUDIENCE: Ages 12 and Up 

OVERVIEW OF WIT’S END 

Wit’s End is a challenging trivia game that will remind you of Sorry! Players answer questions, and as long as they are correct, they will progress around the board. When they reach the top, they have to answer correctly, or else they will lose all of their progress. These brain teasers, mind-boggling riddles, and trivia come from a variety of categories, so everyone will quickly find their strength.  

SETUP 

To begin setup for the game, the game board should be placed in the center of the play area, between the players. Every player will choose a game pawn to represent them throughout the course of the game. Each player’s game piece should be placed on a corner square found on the blue level.  

The cards are separated into their assigned categories. Each group of cards is shuffled and placed in separate stacks with each stack facing down. To choose the first player, each player will roll the die. The player with the highest roll becomes the first player, and turns will rotate clockwise around the group.  

GAMEPLAY 

The first player will begin the game by rolling the die and moving their pawn piece. Depending on the number that the players roll, they will go to the left or the right of their track. Each space of the board is assigned a specific category. When the player lands on a space, they should draw a card that matches the category of their space. When a player lands on a space with a dice, they should roll again and progress further along on the board.  

If the player answers correctly, then they should roll again, choosing which direction they will move. The player will continue in this manner until they answer a question incorrectly. The next player will take their turn, playing in the same way.  

When a player reaches the top level, they have the chance to win the game. The player will draw their question card and answer the question. If they answer correctly, they win the game! On the other hand, if they answer incorrectly, then they must regress back to the purple level of the board, ending their turn. 

END OF GAME 

The game comes to an end when a player reaches the top level and answers their final question correctly. The first player to do so, wins the game! If they do not answer it correctly, then they are dropped all the way down to the purple level. 

Answer challenging questions, progress around a gameboard, and be pushed to your Wit’s End when you get knocked to the bottom for being wrong.
