OVERVIEW OF VIRTUAL HIDE AND SEEK
To play Virtual Hide and Seek, you’re going to need a little bit of imagination. You’ll quickly see that this game is just as fun as the original, although there is no physical hiding! This game can be as simple or as difficult as you like.
GAMEPLAY
Instead of physically hiding as you would in a normal game of hide and seek, in Virtual Hide and Seek, you simply think of a place in your home where you would hide. Once you have thought of the hiding place, let the other player(s) know that they can start seeking. The player hiding must switch the FaceTime camera to face the back of the phone in order to assist the seeker(s). The seeker(s) must then ask yes or no questions to find the hiding place, such as:
- Are you hiding in the kitchen?
- Are you hiding in the living room?
- Are you hiding under the bed?
- Are you hiding in the second cabinet?
- Are you hiding upstairs?
The hiding player can only answer yes or no to questions. If the answer is yes, the hiding player must take the phone to the area the seeker(s) correctly guessed in order to help them narrow down your actual hiding spot. For example, if the seeker(s) asks, “Are you hiding in the living room?” and the answer is yes, go to the living room so that the seeker(s) can ask follow-up questions to find your hiding place.
Generally, to play this game, you should have a rule in place that the hiding spot must be someplace where the person could actually physically hide. But if you want to make this game even more difficult, get rid of that rule so that the hiding place can be anywhere! If you play without this rule, the hiding place could even be a toaster, the space between the fridge and the floor, or the toilet bowl!
END OF VIRTUAL HIDE AND SEEK
The seeker that finds the hiding spot is the next hider!
