OVERVIEW OF I WANT MY TEETH BACK
I Want My Teeth Back is a simple set collection game designed for young children. In this game, players are collecting and cashing in tooth cards for a chance to spin the spinner. Depending on the spinner’s results, the player may or may not be able to collect teeth. Balance collecting cards and trying to turn in sets with the rising and lowering of the number of teeth up for grabs. The first player to collect twelve teeth wins the game.
WHAT’S IN THE BOX
The fifty-seven card deck includes four different kinds of tooth cards, three types of spinner cards, two types of landing mat cards, and one reminder card. There are four meef cards (one per player) that each person is trying to fill up with teeth. A landing mat acts as the central board that teeth will pile up on. Sixty tooth tokens are included, and players are trying to collect twelve to win the game. Finally, a small story book is included that expands on Meef’s lore.
SETUP
Put the spinner, reminder card, and landing mat at the center of the table. Two of the tokens go on the landing mat, and the rest of the them go in a pile near the mat. Shuffle the deck of cards and place it face down on the table where everyone can reach it. Be sure to leave room for a discard pile. Each player gets a meef board.
THE PLAY
The youngest player goes first. Draw one card from the pile and place it face up in front of you. After drawing, you may play one (or more) cards from your face up row, or you may pass. Playing cards allows you to spin the spinner.
A single card gives you one spin. Playing two matching cards gives you three spins. Three matching cards gives you five spins. Place the cards being played in the discard pile.
Only a single spin card can be played, and the number of spins it awards you is on the card. Landing Mat cards must be played immediately after drawing. Add the number of teeth to the landing mat as instructed by the card. If you draw a landing mat card, you may still play one or more (matching) cards from in front of you. You do not get to draw a second time on your turn.
To spin the spinner, place one hand on the paw to hold the spinner steady. Use your other hand to spin. If the spinner stops so that the pointer is pointing at one of the blue lucky tooth sections, you collect the teeth from the landing mat. Add those teeth to your meef. Immediately refill the landing pad with two teeth. Any time the spinner stops with the pointer pointing at a red section, you do not get any teeth from the landing mat.
Once your turn is over, play passes left.
WINNING
The first player to collect twelve chompers for their meef wins the game.
