NUMBER OF PLAYERS: 1 Player

TYPE OF GAME: Solitaire Card Game
AUDIENCE: Adults
OVERVIEW OF CALCULATION
Calculation is a solitaire type card game that takes a lot of calculation. Players often say you only can win two out of three games, but if you do not have proper strategy, you may not be able to win any games. This is definitely a thinker’s game!
SETUP
Firstly, take an ace, two, three, and four from the deck. The suit does not matter. Place them in a row so that they create the four empty foundations. Four waste piles are placed under them, and they will be empty at first. The rest of the cards are then shuffled and placed face down forming the stock pile. The top card is revealed, and then the game is ready to begin.
GAMEPLAY
The revealed card may be played onto the foundations. If it cannot be placed, then it may be placed in the waste pile. The top card in the waste piles are also available to be played onto the foundations, but they may not be played anywhere else.
Foundations are built in different ways. The first foundation are built up by ones from ace to kings. The second foundation is built up by twos in the following order: two, four, six, eight, ten, Queen, ace, three five, seven, nine, Jack, and King.
The third foundation is built up by threes. Finally, the last foundation is built up by fours. Suit and color is completely ignored. The only thing that matters is rank alone.
END OF GAME
The game comes to an end when all the cards have been played to the foundations or when there are no more moves to be made. The player wins if all of the cards have been played to foundations!
